All building construction, alteration and demolition work must comply with the Building Code of Australia.
The builder and/or owner builder must advise the Building Department during the course of construction so they can carry out routine inspections to ensure that the building is compliant and has been constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications previously approved under the Building Licence.
Building Inspections should be carried out at the following points of construction:
- Completion of footings
- Pouring of slab
- Completion of roof framework
- Final inspection at completion of building
To book an inspection please contact the Councils Building Surveyor on 9733 7800 or firstname.lastname@example.org
