OPENING OF LAKE CLIFTON BUSHFIRE BRIGADE BUILDING

Friday the 17th of March saw the official opening of the newly constructed Lake Clifton Fire Brigade Building. Executive staff and Councillors joined the company of representatives from Department of Fire & Emergency Services (DFES), and members of the Waroona, Waroona West, Lake Clifton and Preston Beach volunteer fire brigades. CEO Ian Curley welcomed everyone to the opening, followed by an address from Brett Finlay on behalf of DFES. Cr Noel Dew once again delivered a humble address, with his signature touch of humour, before officially opening the new building. All in attendance were impressed with the new building, especially the Lake Clifton Volunteer Fire Brigade who are very keen to move into their new home.

Thank you to the Lake Clifton Herron Residents Association for providing light refreshments for the evening, and to the Lake Clifton Volunteer Fire Brigade who assisted with cleaning up after the event. This project was managed by John Crothers, and supported by Shire of Waroona and Department of Fire & Emergency Services.
