Structure Plans

The Shire has prepared and adopted a number of Strategic Plans and Structure Plans to guide decision making throughout the Shire.

The Waroona Town Centre Strategy was adopted in December 2003 to guide the redevelopment of the Waroona Town Centre.

The Lake Clifton - Herron Structure Plan (click here for final document submitted to WAPC for approval) (click here for plan) was adopted by the Shire and the City of Mandurah in March 2006 as a strategic land-use Plan for the rural lifestyle communities of Lake Clifton and Herron.

The Waroona North Structure Plan was adopted in November 2006 to guide land use and development north of the Waroona townsite during and after mineral sand mining.  For an abridged version of the Waroona North Structure Plan please click here.   For a full copy please contact Council's Executive Support Officer on 97337805 or email eso@waroona.wa.gov.au.

Following on from the adoption of the Waroona North Structure Plan, Iluka has commenced detailed structure planning for their landholdings and those immediately north of the townsite through the preparation of the Waroona Townsite Expansion Plan.

An initial Concept Plan document has been prepared on behalf of Iluka by Roberts Day.

Extracts of the document are available by clicking on the links below.  A full copy of the document is available for viewing at the Shire office.

The Shire of Waroona has noted the Concept Plan document, but has not established a position on it at this time.
