Waroona Town Centre Strategy

The Waroona Town Centre Strategy was finalised in December 2003. The Strategy will guide the enhancement of the commercial and cultural centre of Waroona in the coming years.  Improvements proposed include the creation of a Town Square (“Drakesbrook Place”) near Memorial Hall, consolidation of Youth facilities near the Town Square, underground power and footpath and road improvements for South Western Highway, a new park between the highway and Waroona Hotel, and upgrading the parking and picnic facilities between Fouracre Street and the railway.  The Strategy also makes recommendations about the location and design of directional and tourist signage, suitable species of street trees and a range of colours for buildings in the Town Centre.
