An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic professional to join the Shire’s Executive Team as the Director Infrastructure Services. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction and effective management across the infrastructure portfolio.


The Director Infrastructure Services will lead the strategic planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Shire’s Infrastructure Services, encompassing Waste Management, Works, and Technical Services. This executive role provides high-level advice and information to the CEO, organisation and Council, ensures compliance with relevant legislation and standards, oversees project delivery in line with strategic and budgetary priorities, and fosters strong relationships with stakeholders and the local community to enhance infrastructure outcomes.


We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking leader with a proven track record in infrastructure or local government service delivery. Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering capital works programs is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to positively influence workplace culture and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. A leadership style that aligns with a small-town country atmosphere and is community minded, approachable, and relationship focused, will be highly valued.


An executive level remuneration package from $178,000 to $206,725 per annum, including the provision of a 4WD vehicle with personal use, and a cash component from $140,000 to $165,370 will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
