Freshwater Fishability is held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Drakesbrook Weir picnic area from 09:00 am to 12:00 midday.

Fishability is a free event providing the facilities for people to have a go at fishing for Trout and other species in the Drakesbrook Weir.
EVERYTHING needed to fish is provided. All rods, reels, tackle and bait are supplied at NO COST to participants.
Please note that although trained in helping people with disabilities, the facilitators are NOT carers. If a person needs a carer, that carer should accompany their client.
Fishability will be canceled if weather conditions are such as to cause participants distress. Excessive heat and wind are two such examples.
