At its November Ordinary Council Meeting, Council accepted the Shire of Waroona Annual Report & Financial Statements for the financial year commencing 1 July 2018 and concluding 30 June 2019.
The Annual Report is the final component of the Shire’s Integrated Planning & Reporting Framework, and is a mechanism of communicating with the community and key stakeholders in a transparent and accountable way, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 and Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996.
The report contains:
• A report from the Shire President;
• A report from the Chief Executive Officer;
• An overview of the activities of the year;
• An overview of the Strategic Community Plan, including major initiatives that are proposed to commence or to continue in the next financial year;
• The financial report for the financial year;
• The auditor’s report for the financial year;
• Grant funding received in the year;
• The number of employees entitled to an annual salary of $100,000 or more;
• Any significant modifications to the Strategic Community Plan or Corporate Business Plan during the financial year;
• Details on the Shire’s Complaints Register; and
• Any other matters which are required under various other legislation.
