Alcoa Waroona Micro Grant Fund
Thank you to all eligible groups and organisations who applied for funding through round 1 of the 2021/2022 Alcoa Waroona Micro Grant Fund (AWMGF).
The fund was oversubscribed attracting 16 applications requesting a total sum of $26,875. The Alcoa Waroona Sustainability Fund Committee were given the difficult task of assessing funding applications and reducing the round allocation to 50% of the total grant pool.
Congratulations to the successful recipients:
- Fishability ($1,500) for a monthly accessible fishing program at the Weir
- Waroona Playgroup ($1,749) to purchase and install a lifespan jungle gym
- Anglican Parish Op Shop ($1,500) towards upgrades to access ramp and load bay entrance
- Lake Clifton Playgroup ($1,500) towards storage at the Middle Shed
- Lake Clifton Action Group ($1,200) in support of their pop-up community Café series
- Waroona Volunteer Fire & Emergency Services ($1,000) towards club laptop
- Preston Beach Progress Association ($1,077) to purchase and install a community noticeboard
- CWA Yarloop ($638) for the Traditional Christmas Pudding Workshop at Preston Beach
- Waroona Historical Society ($1,100) to run a mystery bus tour of historical sites
- Waroona Artist & Makers (1,027) towards the Waroona Artisan Expo
- Waroona Senior Citizens ($960) to purchase lightweight trestle tables
- Eddie on the Road Program ($1,000) towards a youth holiday program in Waroona
The next Alcoa Waroona Micro Grant Funding round opens December 2021.
