Alcoa Waroona Sustainability Funding Round Now Open

Community groups and organisations in the Shire of Waroona are invited to submit applications for grants from the Alcoa Waroona Sustainability Fund.

The Sustainability Fund purpose is to fund facilities and projects with enduring value for the communities surrounding the Wagerup refinery. Funds will be allocated to community organisations, initiatives, processes and activities that contribute to the local government region known as the Shire of Waroona.

The closing date for applications is Friday 10 April 2020.

To be eligible you must be an incorporated community group and/or organisation who is domiciled and provides services predominately within the Shire of Waroona including, but not limited to, Waroona, Lake Clifton, Preston Beach, Nanga Brook, Wagerup and Hamel.

Applications can be for a broad range of community development projects both large and small that make a positive contribution to the economic, social, recreational or environmentally sustainability of the communities within the Shire of Waroona.

Projects that attract matched or partial funding from other sources and promote the concept of co-location (where appropriate) will be encouraged.
