Live@theWeir returns in 2022 with good vibes, live music, art, culture and entertainment at the idyllic waterside setting of Drakesbrook Weir.

The event opens with New Zealand and Pacific Island song and prayer from Kwillana Va’a Outriggers, welcoming our seasonal workers to the community.  Attendees can try their hand at paddling traditional canoes with the guidance of experienced paddlers.

Blackwood Rising will take the stage, with a mix of covers and originals that will have you tapping to the beat.  The blues duo has been gigging up and down the WA coast for the last two decades, supporting the likes of the Black Sorrows, Mental as Anything and Blue Shaddy.

Professional and amateur artists will compete in the Plein Air Country Paint Out competition with $1000 in prizes up for grabs.  Watching the artwork evolve was an exciting feature of the event last year, with many patrons purchasing a special piece to take home.

The food truck fiesta will return with a line-up of tasty vendors to tempt the tastebuds.  Take a night off cooking, enjoy the giant garden games, water activities and relaxing atmosphere at an event suitable for the whole family.

Live@theWeir 2022 is sponsored by the Shire of Waroona, Alcoa of Australia and Bendigo Bank Pinjarra Branch and is supported by Plein Air Down Under, Waroona Artist and Makers, Woods of the West and the Kwillana Va’a Outriggers

See you at the Weir!!
