Preston Beach Mural Brings Colour to our Coastal Community!!

The spirit of community shone bright at Preston Beach this Sunday 29 November as residents and visitors came together to create a stunning mural at the Community Centre on Panorama Drive.

The colour by number project, led by acclaimed Australian mural artist Melski McVee, encourages local people to take part in painting a mural and creating positive change in their local area.  The mural project was easy, fun and connected people of all ages and abilities.  The end result is a stunning neighbourhood mural that will be enjoyed by the community for years to come.

The Community Mural was coordinated by the Preston Beach Progress Association and supported by the wider community who contributed towards getting the building façade ready, cooking sausage sizzles, ideas for design and of course painting the beautiful mural.

The project was funded by the Shire of Waroona and the WA Primary Health Alliance promoting the Act, Belong-Commit message and a mentally healthy community.

We congratulate the artists and everyone involved in this wonderful community initiative.
