Waroona Business After Hours
Guests were delighted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, delectable finger food and spectacular grazing table at the Peel CCI Business After Hours event, hosted by the Shire of Waroona on Wednesday 20 October.
Hon Andrew Hastie MP was in attendance and pleased to announce the Federal Governments $900,000 contribution towards the Waroona Revitalisation Plan and Community Precinct through the Building Better Regions Fund.
Andrew McKerrel, General Manager of Peel Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. provided business and industry insight for the region and Bronwyn Chompff from the Waroona Business Support Group took the opportunity to launch the Waroona Customer Experience Charter, soon to be rolled out to support local business in the region.
Shire President Mike Walmsley said there was a lot to celebrate, “Following two years of planning, preparing, lobbying and securing funding to create a new community precinct and develop a ‘plan’ to refresh the town center, we are ready to take the next steps with development set to commence around April next year”.
The town center revitalisation, accompanied by local events, artwork and natural amenity all contribute towards supporting business and the local economy.
