Clearing vegetation

Clearing or disturbance of native vegetation by any method, which includes parkland clearing, animals grazing and ringbarking, and burning, requires approval from the Shire of Waroona.

The establishment of a maximum 3-metre-wide firebreak around the boundary, and a 20 metre Asset Protection Zone for a house, contained within a pre- approved building envelope are exempt. All other clearing requires approval in writing from the Shire.

Please be aware that any clearing that takes place without approval, may result in the issuing of fines or prosecution and potentially orders to rehabilitate.

If you have any questions, please contact the Shire of Waroona 9733 7800
