Now that Troutfest festivities have wrapped up for the year, we're diving into some exciting upgrades at Drakesbrook Weir. Stage One of our Masterplan is now underway, with a nature playground and an expanded picnic area set for 2024.
Right now, our primary focus is improving the parking facilities. Please be aware that this means the carpark's limestone area will be closed on October 26th and
27th for drainage work.
In addition, from November 7th to November 24th, we'll have to temporarily close access to Drakesbrook Weir while we complete the carpark upgrades. Weir Road will remain open for local traffic only.
We realise the closure is inconvenient and we appreciate your understanding as we complete these enhancements.
This project is possible thanks to an election commitment from the State Government and support from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
