Recognised as an objective of the Shire’s Access and Inclusion Plan, the Shire has been successful in securing grant funding through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program to provide disability friendly access to its main Administration Office. The grant funding will allow for compliant external disability access including automatic doors and access ramps and internal disability access to the front counter and internal meeting rooms.
In preparation for these very exciting upgrades, as of 1pm Wednesday 1st May 2024, Council and Licensing services will relocated to the north entry of Council Chambers, accessed via the Library carpark to the rear of the Shire building. The Shire office will be closed Wednesday morning 1st May 2024 until 1pm to allow for IT services to be relocated.
The Shire are looking forward to providing disability friendly access to the community to ensure inclusivity and a more welcoming environment for all.
