Waroona offers two privately run caravan parks, one in town www.waroonavillage.com.au and one in the forest www.navarino.com.au.

24 Hour Recreational Vehicle Free Stay Areas

Shire of Waroona welcomes visitors to Drakesbrook Weir, Waroona Showgrounds and Preston Beach (beach car park at the western end of Mitchell Road) to enjoy the night by staying in the 24 Hour Recreational Vehicle Free Stay Areas.

REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS APPLY

Recreational vehicles may use these areas for 24 hours only. The time frame between one period of stay and the next period, by the same recreational vehicle is five consecutive nights.

Recreational vehicle (RV) means purpose built recreational vehicles, caravans buses, coaches and other types of vehicles primarily designed and constructed to provide occupancy to a person or persons that are licensed to operate on a road.

A RV using these areas must be fitted with an operable integrated black water waste system with a holding tank within the RV. The RV must also have a grey water waste system fitted with the system being capable of capturing grey water without it being deposited on the ground. (An integrated holding tank is not required)

  • A maximum of five (5) RVs are permitted at one time
  • RVs are to be contained on the bitumen/gravel area within the marked bays
  • Grey water captured must be disposed of off-site
  • RVs are not to access any power outlet
  • Erecting a fixed annex is not permitted
  • Clotheslines external to an RV are not permitted
  • Camp or cooking fires are prohibited at all times
  • Please use rubbish bins provided or take your rubbish with you
  • RV Use, camping or operating vehicles on other areas of the reserve is prohibited.
