Local Drug Action Team Program

The Shire of Waroona is proud to be a part of the Local Drug Action Team Program, who through the Alcohol and Drug Foundation is supported with research, resources, and expertise to help the community to work together to prevent and minimise the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs.

Most recently, the Shire of Waroona partnered with Waroona Police, Waroona District High School, Waroona Fire and Emergency Services, St John Waroona, and Heart Hub South West to present to students in year 6 – 10 a simulation event with a focus on reducing drug and alcohol harms in young people.

The event was captured by Simple Ben Stories to help bring a message to our community that we hope will save lives.
