It is time again for swimming pool safety barrier inspections. The Shire began inspection at the end of April but had to stop due to Covid-19. The letters will be sent out shortly, with inspections commencing the end of July 2020, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Your assistance in providing access on the day of your inspection, by having someone at the property to provide access or by leaving a gate unlocked and placing your dogs in a secure area, will be appreciated.
The inspection is covered by your rates contribution each year, however if the safety barrier is not compliant, or access was not available at the arranged time, you will receive an invoice for the follow-up inspection.
To help you make sure the barrier is compliant upon the first inspection, you will receive a booklet with an explanation and diagrams of the requirements with your letter.
