Councillor Charlie Clarke resigned from Council following the Council meeting on 24th June 25. His resignation is due to the sale of his house in Preston Beach, meaning he is no longer eligible to remain as a councillor. Cr Clarke brought a spirit of service to his role as councillor at the Shire of Waroona and his services will be missed.
The Shire will now write to the Minister for local government seeking permission to defer his extra-ordinary election until the October ordinary elections.
