The Town to Weir Trail construction works contract has been awarded and the contractor is now gearing up to commence construction. The program is approximately 3 months, by which time the path will be built and the fencing reinstalled. The aim is for the path to go behind the trees on the left hand side for the most part, as one is travelling to the weir. This aims to create some connection to the land and scenery and make for a scenic journey for pedestrians and cyclists. This will be constructed without the loss of trees.
The Town to Weir Trail is one trail in the Peel Trails Strategy and has been proudly funded by the Australian Government’s Priority Community Infrastructure Program.
