Waroona Troutfest 2023

The annual Waroona Troutfest! Come along and be part of the trout release into the Drakesbrook Weir at 10am.

 

This free community event offers plenty of things for all ages to enjoy.

 

Saturday, 21 October.

10am – 1pm.

Drakesbrook Weir, Weir Road Waroona 6215.

Cost: Free!

 

You can try your luck with Chas Riegert’s kids casting competition, learn how to fly-fish with WA Trout Freshwater Angling Association, try out Fishability’s accessible fishing stations, get trout tips from the Australian Trout Foundation and expand your freshwater fishing knowledge by speaking to the department’s fisheries officers.

 

There will be a coffee van onsite, food available to purchase from the Waroona Leos Club. Please bring cash as not all stalls will have EFTPOS.

 

We look forward to seeing you all down at the Weir.
