Residents and visitors to Preston Beach car park can enjoy increased security following the installation of 3 fixed CCTV cameras to monitor the area.
The beautiful beaches of Preston attract visitors all year round with the car park area providing 24 hour recreational vehicle free stay seasonally from 1 May through to 31 October.
The installation of CCTV at the beach car park will provide beach goers peace of mind whilst discouraging criminal activity in the area. In addition, the expansion of the Shire of Waroona CCTV network will assist Police with investigations, should an incident occur.
The Preston Beach car park CCTV project has been made possible through the collective efforts of the Preston Beach Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, the Shire of Waroona and the Wagerup Alcoa Sustainability Fund in efforts to create a safer community for all to enjoy.
