Twilight Mini Golf and Drumming

What a night of fun, good food, diverse activities and positive energy in Lake Clifton on Friday 21 May for the Twilight Mini Golf and Drumming event.

Hundreds of people ventured down to the community reserve on Tuart Grove to join the festivities and enjoy a night off cooking, with burgers, sausage sizzles, coffee and ice-cream for sale.

The all ages event had something for everyone with market stalls, a tarot card reader, face-painting, mini-golf, giant garden games, a drumming circle, petting pony and a retro gaming trailer.

With a large number of young families having moved into the area, there was an astonishing number of children in attendance with the next generation of Lake Cliftonites laughing, playing with their friends and making memories.

The Twilight Mini Golf and Drumming event was an initiative of the Lake Clifton Action Group, supported by the Shire of Waroona and Alcoa of Australia.  The group managed to raise $650 through burger sales and activity donations, with funds being allocated towards future initiatives to support the Lake Clifton community.

With the Action Group member base now reaching 40 members, it felt like half the town was there helping with event setup and pack down.  The success of the event can be attributed to community enthusiasm, involvement and spirit!!
