The Shire of Waroona together with their domestic waste collection company Cleanaway would like to advise residents of an anticipated service interruption for Wednesday 19 April and Thursday 20 April.
As you may be aware the Transport Workers Union (WA) has notified Cleanaway Pty Ltd (Cleanaway) that they plan to take industrial action via a work stoppage on Wednesday 19 April 2023.
Whilst we are anticipating minimal interruptions some services may be delayed and possibly continue into the following day.
Residents are advised to present bins for collection as normal and not to retrieve them until they have been emptied.
Cleanaway will continue to negotiate the South-West Enterprise Agreement with the TWU and Employee representatives in good faith, and we apologise if this matter causes any service disruptions or concerns.
