Applications for the Alcoa Waroona Micro Grants Fund Now Open

Round one of the Alcoa Waroona Micro Grants Fund (AWMGF) for the 2022/2023 financial year is now open, with groups across the community encouraged to apply.

Formed through a partnership between Alcoa of Australia and the Shire of Waroona, grant funding of up to $2,000 is on offer to local not-for-profit groups. Projects funded by the AWMGF must align with the Shire of Waroona 2030 Strategic Community Plan.

Shire President Mike Walmsley said he was looking forward to seeing some creative ideas around programs or events that will benefit the Shire of Waroona community.

“If your group is in need of financial support to bring an idea to fruition, this is your opportunity. The last funding round was highly competitive, so I encourage anyone thinking about applying for a grant to discuss their application with the Shire to ensure it meets the guidelines,” Cr Walmsely said.

Applications for this round of the AWMGF are open until 4.30pm on Monday, 15 February 2022.
