Christmas is here again and for many it will be a time to unwind for the year, catch up with friends and family and enjoy the summer weather. We will see visitor numbers to the Shire increasing as people come to enjoy the attractions of Waroona Shire.
Part of the end of year festivities included celebrating Volunteers week and two breakfasts were put on by the Shire, in Waroona and Preston Beach, to say a small thank you for the great efforts of the volunteers. This strong community network is a sign of a thriving community and brings a sense of place to the Shire.
While the community network will continue to look out for each other and visitors during the Christmas break, if you see anything that needs the Shire’s attention, please let us know. While a number of Shire services will also be taking a break, we can still be contacted if the matter is pressing.
