Routine testing of the Drakesbrook Weir water quality has been carried out as part of the normal testing regime of our open waters. There was an anomaly with one result so the sample was sent for further analysis and testing. That testing has now been done, the results provided back to the Shire, and the water quality test has been returned as safe.
The Environmental Health Officer has stated “The results are not considered to indicate a concern for the public to swim in the water or use it in the normal way”.
The weir will remain open to enjoy.
